ALL INDIA IPSC SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP FOR GIRLS – 2023


“Game of the Racket and the Ball”

Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School felt elated and honoured to host All India IPSC Squash Championship for Girls - 2023 (Under 12, 14, 17 and 19 Categories) from 12th to 14th August 2023. The school was geared up to conduct this spectacular three-day event proficiently and enthusiastically. 

This Championship was an opportunity for 73 Young Players and 15 Managers & Coaches to participate and strengthen in them the values of leadership and comradeship. The Championship was represented by following 8 elite IPSC Schools of the country:

1. Daly College, Indore  (Madhya Pradesh)

2. Delhi Public School, RK Puram, New Delhi (Delhi NCR)

3. Mayo College Girls' School, Ajmer (Rajasthan)

4. Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi

5. The Emerald Heights International School, Indore (Madhya Pradesh)

6. The Rajkumar College, Rajkot

7. Yadavindra Public School, Patiala (Punjab)

8.  Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur (Host School)

 At the core of it, this IPSC Squash Championship 2023 aimed to bring all the participants together and provide them a platform to compete at their best. The various delegations were heartily welcomed on campus on 11th August, and completed their registration formalities. The Escorts, Managers and student delegates of all the participating teams later gathered for a cordial and delightful interaction at the Principal’s Welcome Dinner.

The Opening Ceremony on the first day, August 12th, was graced by the Chief Guest, Brigadier B. Sonali Passi Verma, Commandant, Military Hospital, Jodhpur, accompanied by the School Principal, Mrs. Neera Singh. The day started with a mesmerizing performance by our dancers, welcoming everyone to the tune of ‘Kesariya Baalam Aavo ni Padharo Mhare Des’. The contingents were then received with a thunderous applause. Their unfathomable passion for the sport was further ignited with the Oath taking ceremony, led by Ma’am Principal,  that left the Captains and the players beaming with pride and unimaginable promise for the days to come. The environment echoed with positive vibes and compelling passion wit the invigorating speech of the Chief Guest. The Nightingale Club of the school further uplifted the spirits with their beautiful rendition.

The days that followed, witnessed not only a battle between racket and the ball but also a wave of emotions. The championship saw the participants oozing with enthusiasm and the spirit to excel. There was a perfect display of constant running and following the ball, short bursts of speed, hard hitting, fine balance of hand and eye-coordination for 3 days. The Closing Ceremony culminated with the Tournament Report, Result Announcement, Prize Giving, Grand Finale and Vote of Thank. The championship fiercely inculcated the values of togetherness, competitive bonhomie and team spirit among the students and made them realize that coordinated effort can bring incredible results, be it a play field or daily  life.

Mr Vijay Jangra from Mayo College, Ajmer officiated as the IPSC Observer. Referees of the event - Mr Bhupendra Singh Rathore, Mr Jitendra Dutta, Mr Monish Dutta, Mr Kapil Murjhani and Mr Deva Ram Choudhary determined who outplayed the other with their surgical precision. RKK’s Team Coach, Mr Vijay Singh Parihar meticulously handled all the matches during these three days. Dr. Surbhi Vyas, the Physiotherapist, took care of all the medical interventions, comfort and strength given to the   injured players.

This Championship of Squash Championed the hearts, collecting a plethora of memories for life’s album, creating this epoch making event nothing less than a celebration.
